What We Treat
Who is a Rheumatologist?
A rheumatologist is an internist who has sub-specialized in the treatment of musculoskeletal and auto-immune diseases. Diagnosis of auto-immune diseases often is challenging as there is no single test or study that can definitively diagnose these conditions. Rheumatologists act like detectives, putting together information from the patient and interpreting labs and images to discover the correct diagnosis.
